I participated at the Somali Association of South Africa for 4 weeks. In the beginning I did some office work with another volunteer, which was quite interesting. I get to know how organizations like the Somali Association work, as I did some office work like putting the refugee documents in order or sitting at the reception. As the teacher of the children classes needed some more help, we also managed to teach some Somali children. The children had quite different levels of learning, so for us it was also a little challenge to learn explaining something in an easy way. Generally I can say that I had a very interesting time and it made me think of staying in a refugee organization and work as an organizer.
